1131AG telnet and WebUI problem

I have an 1131AG that I am running multiple user VLAN’s through. I can successfully access all VLAN’s via the AP with no problem at all, but for some reason I can’t connect to the AP via ping, telnet, or the WebUI. The IP configured on BVI1 is in my management VLAN (VLAN2). My user VLAN’s running on this AP are 149, 176, and 212.

This particular AP is connected to a 3524-PWR-XL running c3500XL-c3h2s-mz.120-5.4.WC.1 version of IOS.

Switchport config for this 1131:

interface FastEthernet0/23

description 1131AG

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport mode trunk

I have two other 1131’s in different parts of my building that are working great and I am having no problem accessing them via telnet or WebUI. The only difference here is that these are connected to switches that are running Cat OS. The commands that I have used on the Cat OS ports are:

Set vlan 2 3/3 (To set native VLAN for the management subnet)

Set trunk 3/3 on dot1q

The configuration on all of my 1131's are identical except for the BVI1 IP's.

I imagine that there is something simple I must be missing but I am not seeing what it may be. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

You may want to verify that you Native VLAN is set the same as your management VLAN.

Cisco APs need them both to be the same.

Good Luck

Re: 1131AG telnet and WebUI problem

Scott,

Thank you for the reply. I modified the port configuration to the following and there was no change to my symptoms. Still no management access.

interface FastEthernet0/23

description TRIBAP3

switchport access vlan 2

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport mode trunk

Re: 1131AG telnet and WebUI problem

With your current configuration the native VLAN for Fa 0/23 is still 1.

("switchport access vlan 2" is only active with "switchport mode access")

Add "switchport trunk native vlan 2" to the IF configuration

to change the native VLAN to 2.

kka,

Thank you very much for the suggestion. That is exactly what I needed.
