1242 AP (FAT) with AIR-ANT2506 Antenna & AIR-CAB050LL-R Cable

  Hi,

I am planning to have FAT access point 1242 connected to AIR-ANT2506 external Antenna.

Are these two things compatible?

Secondly, AP and Antenna will be 230 feet away, hence I am planning to buy a cable from Cisco (Part Code AIR-CAB050LL-R)

Is this antenna and cable compatible with each other?

Hi ,

You can check the information of the antenna under the Cisco antenna reference guide, and if the AP 1242 you have has a 2.4GHZ or G radio then the antenna will work since it is 2.4GHZ compatible.
