1802W router (wireless functions yet NO internet or network function)

Dear Cisco Users,

Recently we purchased a 1802W integrated services router to upgrade our current infrastructure. However, I am having some problems with my internet connection for my wireless associated clients.

Wireless clients authenticate properly to the router. However, no network functionality or internet connection can be established. Wired connected clients do have internet.

Could someone please give me some pointers. Is it a bridging problem? The wireless application is terribly slow and getting at my nerves.

Regards,

Tommie

Re: 1802W router (wireless functions yet NO internet or network

Well without seeing the whole config, I can only guess. Do you have a BVI 1 interface? If so does it have the IP address or is it still on the VLAN 1 interface? Is VLAN 1 a member of Bridge-group 1? Also, if you only have the one VLAN, you do not need to use subinterfaces on the Dot11Radio interfaces.

If moving the IP address and all subsequent commands, ie nat inside etc, does not fix the issue, please post a full config from the AP so we can see the whole picture.

Also what version of code are you running?

SSID's need to be in the Global config on some releases not just under the radio interface...

Sh run and sh ver please...

John,

The code that runs on the ISR is similar to 12.3(2) where you configure the SSID under the radio interface and not with the dot11 ssid commands.
