340 PCI Card used in a laptop

Does anyone know if I can take the PCMCIA Card out of a PCI Wireless adapter and use it in a laptop. I tried it and can get associated but Wireless card still says unavailable.

No

The Boot block version is different and needs the circuits on the PCI to work at full potential

I have seen them made to work but throughput will be lousy due to the fact the bootblock is written for a PCI bus not a cardbus or pcmcia both of which are faster than PCI buses

It is NOT supported by Cisco
