3600 AP question

Is there anyway to get the 3600 AP to function in standalone mode?  If so can it also be supported with the 802.11ac module?

Re: 3600 AP question

You can convert it to autonomous but the AC module and or any other module will not work as it's not supported in autonomous.

Re: 3600 AP question

Yes AP 3600 can be converted into autonomous...

Is the AP currently joined to a controller? If so, you can get the user name and password,
(if changed from default), from GUI>wireless>ap policies.
If nothing is set the default user name is Cisco and the password is Cisco.

Also if it is joined to a controller you will have to enable ssh and or telnet to the AP.
GUI>wireless>ap name>advanced tab>check box for ssh or telnet>apply.

If it is not joined to a controller then you just need a console cable to it and hopefully
you can know the default or previously configured credentials.
If not, then a mode button reset should get you back to Cisco/Cisco. Remove power, hold
the reset button, re-apply power and keep holding the button for 20 seconds. It should
default.
Once you are in and in enable mode.
