My set up is a 5760 WLC (latest 3.6 code) on the corporate network with a 5508 anchor controller (version 8 code) and ISE (22.214.171.124 code) located in a DMZ.
The WLAN is set identically on both controllers with the foregn controller pointing at the ISE. The re-direct ACL is configured on the anchor.
Everything works fine with the ISE in that the client connects, authenticates, gets authorised and gets the guest login page. We can enter the client credentials and get a successful authentication. However, when we then try and go to the original URL the anchor controller is redirecting the client to its internal web auth login page.
The ISE is working exactly as it should. What I can't understand is why the anchor is causing a further re-direct to its default web auth login page. I know its coming from the anchor as I've changed the virtual IP address on the anchor so that I know if it's coming from there.
I'm thinking of backing the anchor code version back to a 7.6 version.
