I'm in the process of identifying the most stable code for 2x 5508 controllers. It is a fairly small deployment with a maximum of 300 APs.Controllers are running 126.96.36.199 firmware out of the box. From a logical point of view latest & greatest code 188.8.131.52 should be much better than it is predecessor and I believe that would be the Cisco recomendation as well With previous expereince, I know that somethimes this logic doesnt work all the time .
Hence my question is, have anyone identified /encountered any critical bugs/errors with the new code? and is it more stable than 6.0.196 ?
The 1250 AP is designed for large open spaces in mind: factory, assembly plants, warehouse, aircraft hangards, theatres, etc. If you have an office environment with wooden walls/partitions then a 1250 is an overkill. The 1130 (a/b/g), 1140 (a/b/g/n) and the new 3500i/e (a/b/g/n) is more suitable.
If you decide to go down the path of the 1250 be aware that it requires 19.5w of PoE for full power.
Yeap the enviornment is a testing facility which is just likea factory.Yeap I spotted the power limitation but at this stage they are happy with just one radio. They intend to buy powerblock injectors later.Basically, the hardware were purchased before I got on board and all I have to do is to design & implemet.I intend to use 7.0.164 code for the WLC.Which I hope will be quite stable.
Transferring Crash file from standby:
Login to the Active WLC in HA.
(Cisco Controller) >transfer upload datatype crash
(Cisco Controller) >transfer upload filename <Desired filename>
(Cisco Controller) >transfer up...
This is the start of a display filter cross reference between Wireshark and OmniPeek.
The 1st installment is a table of advanced filters. More filters will be added as time allows.
It is a living doc, so check back for changes every so often

I have created a Powershell script to automatically add a Wireless Guest User on Cisco WLCs. (tested on 2500 Series)
The script should be completely self explanatory.
