access point with no Mac address!!!

CSCO11177557
Level 1
Level 1

one of access points has become faulty.

It is air-lap113ag-e-k9

The system does not have MAC address yet

The following commands will set MAC address,

parameters used by TFTP operation, and finish

loading the operating system software:

    set MAC_ADDR

    set_param

    ether_init

    tftp_init

    boot

Tried to do set MAC_ADDR, with no luck.

How will i be able to recover this one.

Thanks

The ap should have a MAC address unless it is faulty. You shouldn't have to enter that info. Is the issue that the ap is booting into ROMMON mode? Do you see an error when you boot up the AP. What does the dir show and also the set?

That doesn't look good. You might just have to RMA that AP.
