I just bought two 1131AG's and am not able to access either unit with Internet Explorer.
Both units will get an IP address from my DHCP server and are pingable. Unfortunately, ports 21, 80, and 443 are not open and the Cisco IPSU does not see the unit either.
The fact that I have two brand new units that have exactly the same problem makes me think I am doing something wrong.
I also have console access.

Base on your part number, you've just taken delivery of Lightweight Access Point. So you'll need to convert the LWAP to autonomous (if this is your intention).
Converting a Lightweight Access Point Back to Autonomous Mode
Go to the above-mentioned link and the procedure you're looking for is under the heading "Using a TFTP Server to Return to a Previous Release".

Did you buy an AP with autonomous (aIOS) or LWAP image loaded?
Sounds like the AP's loaded with LWAP image.
How do I check to know what image I have?
I've setup at least a 1000 AP's but never a Cisco device. Should it be this difficult?

The part number on the box say's "AIR-LAP1131AG-A-K9".
leolaohoo, You are absolutly right, and after reading and learning about LWAP versus automomous mode it is clear to me know what the problem is.
I called my supplier and am exchanging the two AIR-LAP1131AG-A-K9 for two AIR-AP1131AG-A-K9.

Thanks for the rating. If the supplier knows what they are selling, I'd covert the APs from LWAP to autonomous and return the APs to you. Less hassle and less paperworks (inventory control).
