AIR-CAP3702I-E-K9 with RX error

I have installed 12x 3702i access points and after installation our monitoring system starts posting issues with RX errors on all of the new installed access points. Every access point is connected to an HP 5406zl with an HP J8705A Gig-T/SFP module that gives out PoE.

All access points ar e running version 7.6.100.0 and are connected to an 5508 running on version 7.6.100.0

My fist thought was cable issue, since we have hade some random issues regarding cabeling during the past 2-3 years.

But then all of them should not get the same issue, even the one i connected directly to the HP switch with an 10 meters cat.6a cable.

I even did a test on another switch, an HP 2510-24. Same result RX error and the access point is connected via an cisco power-injector.

Log from; HP 5406zl::

                                                                   Flow Bcast

  Port     Total Bytes    Total Frames   Errors Rx    Drops Tx     Ctrl Limit

  -------- -------------- -------------- ------------ ------------ ---- -----

  B1       1,476,765,213  47,238,044     17,258       0            off  0

  B3       2,714,448,401  58,960,362     17,131       0            off  0

  B4       177,522,663    68,014,622     14,723       0            off  0

Log from HP 2510-24::

                                                           Flow  Bcast

  ---- ------------ ------------ ------------ ------------ ----- ------

  25   2,174,221... 413,033,668  38,226       0            off   0

Then I allso have an 3602E in my office still, and that access point does not show any error at all.

Same configuration, same switch and so on.

Log from HP 2510-24::

                                                           Flow  Bcast

  Port Total Bytes  Total Frames Errors Rx    Drops Rx     Ctrl  Limit

  ---- ------------ ------------ ------------ ------------ ----- ------

Anyone seen the same with your 3702i access points? or is it just me and my HP switches that has this issue?

They could be oversized frames (aka Giants).
