AIR-CB20A Wireless Card Question

Hello all-I have a general question about the above card. I got one from a friend and I was wondering if you can use the card for general laptop wireless access at places like Panera, hotels etc. or can you just use the card on dedicated networks. Sorry if this question sounds dumb but I have no idea. Thanks for you help! Doug

Re: AIR-CB20A Wireless Card Question

Hi,

the card is standard complying to IEEE 802.11a-compliant 5-GHz 54-Mbps networks. This means in principle you can use the card in many wireless networks. Be aware however, that Wireless security might prevent you from getting (unallowed) connectivity.

Have a look at "Cisco Aironet 340, 350, and CB20A Wireless LAN Client Adapters Installation and Configuration Guide for Windows"

Hope this helps

Martin
