Hello,
Recently purchased 3 of these units and have them working fine, however I am receiving terribly slow transfer speeds from any server, or storage device I try to send or receieve. Fastest I can get is 2.5MB/s or 20Mb/s on all three. Very basic setup with broadcasting a single SSID on each with WP2 AES, using channels 11, 6 and 1 across the three. Brand new building, no other buildings near to cause interference with.

Paste the out put of the commands:
sh wlan <wlan id>
also paste the conifg where wlc and AP connected to switch.
which type of access point are you using ???
Regards

Hello,
Sorry to dig up an old topic but this problem is still happening. I have just ordered an additional one of these as our wireless continues to grow, which it should have the latest firmware so we will see if that helps.
Here is the latest config on one of them:

I'm having this issue as well, and we have 5 1602i series APs in autonomous mode.
I tried setting the 5 GHz radio to 40-above as suggested, but the AP was unaffected.
I factory reset an AP and tested it again with 15.2.4-JB6 IOS and it gets expected throughput without any Encryption.
I then enabled Encryption as AES CCMP and turned on WPAv2 as mandatory. The throughput immediately dropped to roughly 4 Mbps each direction.
I upgraded to 15.3.3-JAB, which is the latest firmware. I factory reset the AP again and got expected throughput. Then I enabled Encryption and turned on WPAv2 and the same drop happened.
I tried to just do a basic 40-bit WEP key, and even that killed the throughput.
It seems to be isolated to the Encryption and SSID security, but I have no idea what's causing it.

Update: IOS ver 15.2.2.JB2 seems to work fine with Encryption.

is there any reason why you have shutdown radio1 (5GHz) ? if you want higher throughput you have to use 5GHz band with channel bonding (40MHz). Something similar below under radio1 would do it.
interface Dot11Radio1
ssid Digitex Canada
channel width 40-above
encryption mode ciphers aes-ccm
no shut
Then if you clients are capable of 5GHz will get benefits. Below chart give data rates you can get depend on spatial streams client could support & CH Bandwidth.
Post "show dot11 associations <client_MAC>" output once you do this to see what data rate client get associated

Hi,
As Access-point 1602i support 'b/g/n' for 2.4GHz and which is definitely backward compatible with the b-clients, so you need to make sure your client should be in 'b/g/n' or in 'n' only mode to get better through put
and before taking the throughput reading check the connection speed at your client device.
