Aironet 350 not automatically associating

Has anyone seen a problem with the Aironet 350 not automatically associating? You have to manually set up a second profile and then switch to the dummy profile apply and then switch back to the correct profile and apply again in order to get the 350 to associate. Once associated there are no further problems. Some hardware details:

Dell Optiplex GX1, Win 98SE (fully patched)

Aironet 350 series card (firmware 4.99.34)

350 HW driver 8.2.3

ACU ver. 5.02.002

If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

The Aironet 350 DOES NOT work with the 340 so if you are trying to talk to a 340 forget it. Sorry

I am responding with my 350 client linked to a 340 AP.

Client firmware 4.25.30

Client driver 8.2.

AP firmware 11.21

I have had a problem lately where I sometimes have to select Commands|Restart in the ACU.

If your ACU is reporting firmware version 4.99.34, you've definitely got some issues.

What're the details on the AP?

Why haven't you ditched 98 yet?

Problem resolved once I replaced the 350 with a 340 running firmware ver3.98. It appears that there is a problem with the 350 running firmware 4.25.30 on a Win95 box or a 98 box that has been upgraded (Seems to work fine with a native win98 box).
