Aironet 3502I

I have a newly purchased Aironet 3502i that I would like to configure on my network.  I am new to Cisco networking in general, and would like to know how to configure the device to operate without a WLAN Controller.

For the time being there is no IOS image for this model of APs to operate without controller.

It can only work with WLC

You can load the autonomous IOS of the 1260, HOWEVER, know the caveats:

1.  Loading autonomous IOS into the 3500 is NOT SUPPORTED by Cisco TAC.  If you have any configuration issues, for example, then you are on your own.  TAC will support if you have a hardware issue.

2.  CleanAir will NOT work with the autonomous IOS.
