Aironet Access Point 4800 Series

Hello all!

I have an Aironet AP4800E Access Point, but I forgot the password that sets the privilege level. Connecting via serial I get smth like this:

1- Privilege [off] - Set privilege level

2- Help - Introduction

I can still use it as a root AP, with the settings it has, but I can't upgrade firmware, change speed, SSID or anything alike unless I find the way to recover the password.

Does anyone know, if it's possible to reset the AP to its default settings via serial terminal? The firmware vertion it has is v8.07, but I can't access it through http.

Thank you a lot,

Valery

This should help. Think of your 4800 as a 350 Access point. Since that's the model Cisco renumbered it to after they acquired Aironet.
