AP 1231G-a-k9 " wants to use wpa2 " kindly suggest if this AP model will support after upgrading IOS 12.3 (8) JEE

Yes 1230 AP supports WPA2. **

Yes 1230 AP supports WPA2.

 

***Most of those older APs don't have the hardware to support WPA2. It's not the software but the hardware/radios.

 

Just try to configure WPA2 under :

dot11 ssid xyz

vlan xx

authentication key-management wpa version 2
