AP 350 Placement under floor?

I have a specific application where wireless service is required for one desk in a large room with a very high ceiling. The room is 'acoustically contained.' Additionally, the antennae needs to be out of sight. I was considering placing an AP under the access flooring (and under the desk) with the antennae mounted above the floor directly above the AP. Does anyone have experience with trying to place an atennae at floor level rather than ceiling height?

Re: AP 350 Placement under floor?

You will have more human-body-based disipation than a ceiling mount.

If you recall your Star Trek episodes, humans are bags of mostly water. Water disipates 12cm wavelengths (2.4GHz). That's how microwave ovens work.

I had an installation that worked very well until 100 people lined up between the AP (in the ceiling of the first floor) and the client (at the far end of the line on the second floor).

Could you mount the AP to the desk?
