Hi,

We have a number of 2006 WLC and 1131 LAP's. The LAP's communicate with the WLC, but fail to register fully and constantly reboot. The following is the error message from the debug lwapp events command on the WLC. I have upgraded the WLC's to version 4 software and still the same error.

Thanks in Advance

Sun Nov 5 20:05:10 2006: Refusing image download to AP

Hi Keith,

try to compare the time and timezone on the APs and the controller. Often after upgrading the IOS APs to LAPs the selfsigned certificate with the timestamps deny a softwear upload from the controller to the LAPs.

Best regards,

Frank

Hi Frank,

Thanks... I managed to solve it last night.

There were two problems. I never set the WLC to boot the new software. It was still running the old version. I only seen this when rebooting attached to a console.... doh!

Once I did this I had made another stupid mistake. The systems are in the UK and I am configuring them remotely from Australia. Out of habit I set the country code to AU instead of GB. Once I did this they worked fine.

Thanks for your help.

Keith
