AP Installation Guidelines

Hi Guys,

Good day!

I will be installing a 2x Wireless AP (1242-AG) in 60m square room, I will install it in both ends of the room. My question is what are the guidelines that I will be considering in situation like this, e.g. channels to be used, % overlaps (to avoid disconnection when user pass to other access point), antennae... etc.

Thanks in advance!

regards,

Gagamboy

do you mean I do not need to manualy adjust the channel of Wireless AP?

You should be able to get things working without making any adjustment to the channel assignments.

I will install it in both ends of the room

Why?  Do you want wireless coverage OUTSIDE the room too?

channels to be used

You should be fine.  You have two APs so they'll automatically sort themselves out.

Hi Leo,

Thanks for your feedback.

It will only serve inside the room, no need for outside. :-)

As for the channels, do you mean I do not need to manualy adjust the channel of Wireless AP?

Thanks in advance!

Mark
