AP Migration in WCS: "Failure - Veryfying Radio role"

Hi,

while trying to convert autonomous APs (AIR-AP1121G-E-K9) to LWAPP mode WCS always says "Failure - Veryfying Radio role". Does anybody know why this occurs? The migration analysis summary shows all criteria as green. Thanks.

In the logs folder of wcs: /wcs/webnms/logs/ there should be a direction for migration and logs from the migration of that ap.

You probably dont have both radios in root mode:

dot11Radio 0

station-role root

shut

!

dot11Radio 1

station-role non-root bridge

shut

You should have :

dot11Radio 0

station-role root

shut

!

dot11Radio 1

station-role root

shut

You may have to reboot the ap after that to get it to work

Thanks for your fast answer.

The problem still occurs.

I only have one radio (dot11Radio0) which is shutdown and the station-role is root:

!

interface Dot11Radio0

no ip address

no ip route-cache

shutdown

!

encryption vlan 176 mode ciphers aes-ccm tkip

!

broadcast-key vlan 176 change 600 membership-termination capability-change

!

Hi, I found the problem. The WCS had problems establishing a telnet session to controller. I solved it, now it works. Thanks for your help.
