Can 3600 series model AP work with WLC 4402 with existing license, we purchased 25 LIC pack and still using only 15.
Any recommended Part no on 3600 series with external Antenna
Access poin 3600 supported only on 7.2 code versoin.
7.2 code versoin is not supported on 4402 controller. so unfortunately you can not get the 3600 AP working with 4402 controller.

which other new AP model supports WLC 4402 and give high bandwidth and added features.
I can't find on Cisco website AP supporting WLC 4402
3500 and you need to be running the latest 7.0.X code.
Just to add... If your planning to purchase these due to the CleanAir feature, you will not be able to enable CleanAir in a mixed environment with non CleanAir access points. But other than that, the 3500's do perform good.

If you need CleanAir to be supported you need 3500. This one can be supported on your WLC.
If you don't care about CleanAir to be supported then you can take 1260 AP in consideration. I think it will be cheaper comparing to 3500 series.

Data Sheet for 1260 AP: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/wireless/ps5678/ps10980/data_sheet_c78-593663.html
1260 AP is almost the same as 3500 features but without cleanAir support.
