AP1142N "not supported AP" error at converting to LWAPP

Try to update an autonomous AP AIR-AP1142N-E-K9 (software C1140-K9W7M, version 12.4(21a)JA1 ) with the upgrade tool but get the error-message "not supported AP".  Tool version is: CiscoAironet-AP-to-LWAPP-Upgrade-Tool-v205.exe

Is it the conversion to Lwapp supported for the AP1142N and how can I convert?

Thanks for any help.

Alexander

Re: AP1142N "not supported AP" error at converting to LWAPP

Here's another method:

Copy the LWAP IOS (with an "rcv" prefix in the filename) to the AP and let the AP boot that image.  Your AP can now join a WLC.

To copy the file from your TFTP server to the AP, the command is "archive download-sw tftp:///filename.tar".
