Various literature indicates that the 5Ghz Antenna is a 6dbi patch and 2dbi dipole. Can anyone please describe in detail the features / funtions of the antenna. (What physical position does the antenna need to be for what function?)

Thank you for the links. They answer all of my questions but one. What mode is the antenna in when it is extended all the way down? 6dbi or 2dbi? To clarify the unit is wall mounted and the antenna is flipped down so it against the wall. Thank you
