WLC2006 and AP1240 are connected to the same subnet. WLC2006 addresses are 192.168.24.18 port 1 for the management interface and 192.168.24.25 port 2 for the ap-manager interface (see <<wlc_config_070105_145300.txt>> issued from show run-config). AP address is 192.168.24.20 and the controller address is 192.168.24.18.
The discovery phase seems OK. Then the AP sends a CNTL JOIN_REQUEST. No answer is provided by the WLC which acts as if it does not receive the request (see WLC traces <<wlc_070105_123000.txt>> and AP traces <<ap_070105_123000.txt>>). Ethereal traces captured on the same hub than WLC are attached (<<ethereal_070105_172400.txt>>).
