AP350s, SNMP and MRTG

I've been able to get MRTG to report on my AP340s, but when MRTG queries(SNMPv1) my AP350s they respond with an error status of noSuchName. For example this does not happen with the AP340s:

====================Example error 1=====

--base: Walking ifAdminStatus

SNMP Error:

Received SNMP response with error code

error status: noSuchName

=========end example 1=========

============Example Error 2========

SNMPv1_Session (remote host: "172.16.1.168" [172.16.1.168].161)

community: "community"

request ID: 1241158144

PDU bufsize: 8000 bytes

timeout: 2s

retries: 5

backoff: 1)

at /usr/bin/../lib/mrtg2/SNMP_util.pm line 540

SNMPWALK Problem for 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.8 on community@172.16.1.168:

at /usr/bin/cfgmaker line 107

===============End example 2============

Any suggestions would be appreciated and thanks for your time.

Ian

Re: AP350s, SNMP and MRTG

This happens because the object ifAdminStatus might not be supported by AP 350.

Re: AP350s, SNMP and MRTG

Thanks for your reply. We found for the AP350s to work we had to make community RW rather tha RO. Why it works for the 340s as RO si beyond me!
