I am trying to add a new 8510 WLC running 7.6.120.0 to CPI 1.4 Update 1.
The controller remains in "unknown devices" with Inventory status "failed" and Inventory Status DetaiI "Collection Status : Unexpected Error see the log file inventory.log for details"
The inventory log shows the inventory process starting and finishing without errors - I've attached the log file.
I can't find anything which might suggest what is going wrong here
Has anyone seen this problem before?

For WLC firmware 7.6.X, you need CPI 2.1.

Thanks for the speedy reply Leo!
Just to be clear here - the full combination required is 8510WLC + 3702i AP + CPI. Would you still go with CPI 2.1?

HI,
In this case yes you must need CPI 2.1 as per cisco recommandation.
But
If you can downgrade the WLC to 7.4.121.0 version then you can use CPI 1.4.
Check the mtrix again from my last post.

That's correct, Philip. You need CPI 2.1 to support WLC firmware 7.6.X.

adding to leo:
Check this matrix: you need PI 2.1 to add wlc with 7.6 version.
Table number 4.
