cannot get prompt on console

Hi,

We'd like to configure an ap 1200 via console, we've got the message "Press RETURN to get started!" but we can't see the prompt, we can't type any command.

We can access the ap via http.

Any idea ?

Make sure your terminal emulator (like HyperTerminal) is set for no flow control (no hardware flow control, no software flow control).

The console port has no "modem control" lines. If you have your term emulator set for flow control, the handshake never comes.

Thanks for the reply.

We can configure routers and switches using the same software , machine and console cable.

We conclude the problem is not related to terminal emulator.

Is there any other reason we can't get prompt ?
