CAP3602 LightWeight AP disassociated from Controller 2405

Can you post an output from the console or some info so we can see whats going wrong?  Is the AP's in local mode and located in the same location as the WLC?

Thanks,

Scott

So the AP hasn't joined the WLC... At least you know that the AP is pingable, but hopefully its not a duplicate ip address.  It's tough to say whats wrong... if you can look at the CDP neighbor on the switch and maybe ping the ip and then shut the port and verify that the ping stops.  Then let the AP boot back up and check CDP to see if the AP has enough power and that you see the hostname of the AP in CDP.

Thanks,

Scott

As per this logs... The Controller did not get a response for the AP heartbeat message. May be connectivity issues between the AP and the controller.

To resolve this kind of issue Check  if the AP has rebooted or if it has been removed from the network. Also ensure that there are no connectivity issues between the AP and the controller.

That doesn't help much. You have other AP's that are joined from that site to the WLC? What does CDP show. Did the ping stop?

Zohaib,

Since you have other AP's at the same site that are working and joined to the WLC, you will need to console into the AP and look at the output.

Post the show CDP neighbor detail

What is the WLC software version you are running ?

CAP3602 LightWeight AP disassociated from Controller 2405

Well it looks like you will need to get to that AP to have console access.  SInce the CDP shows up fine and everything looks okay along with other ap's associated to the WLC, you now need to access the console and reboot the AP and provide us with the output of the log.

You do have enough ap license on the WLC correct?

Thanks,

Scott

Re: CAP3602 LightWeight AP disassociated from Controller 2405

Okay... Just reply back when you get a chance. I would shut the port down so that devices don't connect to that AP. If it joined before, it may still broadcast the SSID.

That's not possible.

Look at the output to the command "sh cdp neighbor".  Look at how much power is drawn.

The "sh cdp neighbor detail" command is telling me the switch is providing 15.4w PoE to the AP.

paste output of sh sysinfo from wlc and also paste the entire console boot process .
