-----------^^^^^^^^^^^^------------------

I have already performed the ap: set BOOT etc commands a dozen times with the same results.

It says: The system is not configured to boot automatically.

I've been trying to get this one going for 4 months now..it was knocked out during a power outage while upgrading it.

Re: Cisco 1130 ag - The system is not configured to boot automat

I didn't know how to get to global configuration mode - I did manage to get there with a bit of guess work.

You use AP: Boot

Let it go through the boot process then at the AP> prompt, [enable] priviledged command set, type in password.

At AP# prompt type [config] then press enter for [terminal] at AP#[config] type NO BOOT MANUAL press [Enter] key and reboot AP.

Question...Do I have to use a WRITE command to write the configuration to CMOS?

I did just play it safe.

Cisco 1130 ag - The system is not configured to boot automatical

What if the AP is in lightweight mode?  It does not let you into global configuration mode, and I cannot find any settings for changing the boot in this mode.   I am hoping this doesn't require reverting the AP back to autonomous just to make that adjustment...

When an ap is lightweight mode, you will not be able to configure that ap.  The WLC will be the one that will manage the ap.  So dedpending on what code is on the WLC, that is the code the AP will download and use.

Cisco 1130 ag - The system is not configured to boot automatical

Thanks Scott, I just didnt think the WLC had that as a configurable variable, but I can see that once the AP is connected to a controller those commands start to become available within the CLI on the AP.  It just cannot be adjusted if the lightweight AP has not connected to a controller, but who does that?

Brian
