Cisco 1200 AP

I am thinking of setting up the cisco 1200 AP in my office. I have two application running in my network, Wireless SIP phone and internet data traffic. Now, I am thinking of using 2 different ssid with unique vlan each to separate the traffic. For exmple,

ssid: data: vlan 5 for data traffic

ssid: sip_wireless: vlan 6 for sip voip traffic

Can I know whether this will work? Will the AP broadcast 2 ssids concurrently?

The AP1231G supports up to 16 VLANs, so your setup will work.

You might want to use a third VLAN for the management of the AP.

As of IOS 12.3(7)JA the AP1231G supports MBSSID, you can broadcast

up to 8 SSIDs. (MBSSID = Multi Broadcast SSID)
