Cisco 1242G converting Autonomous to Lightweight

I am trying to convert Cisco 1242G access point from Autonomous to Lightweight mode.

I downloaded Tftpd32 server and the Lightweight image c1200-rcvk9w8-tar.124-21a.JA2.tar

and issued the command "archive download-sw /force-reload /overwrite tftp://10.0.0.5/ c1200-rcvk9w8-tar.124-21a.JA2.tar"

But it is showing the following Error message

ERROR: Image family mismatch

Hello,

The image you are using is for the 1220/1230 AP families. The 1240 AP has image prefix of c1240 instead of c1200.

So the file you would want is:

c1240-rcvk9w8-tar.124-21a.JA2.tar

Otherwise, the procedure you are using appears to be correct.

Thank you. I installed the Lightweight image successfully

May I know how to configure for lwapp

Should I need to configure anything on Wireless controller

You need to do all your configuration on the WLC.  This is the main purpose of the WLC.
