Can a RAP communicate to a RAP and what is the maximum number of PAPs that can communicate to a RAP? Does the RAP to PAP need to be line of sight or radio line of sight?
Rap to Rap. Yes you can do this. It's called a bridging. But your not doing mesh anymore.
The number of Paps that can communicate to a Rap is version dependant. I don't have the Mesh design guide in front of me.
The question you should ask is how many PAP's can i have in line.
The answer is you are not limited, but you shouldn't go more than 5. For each PAP relay, you half the Backhaul bandwidth.
The Rap to Pap used to be limited to 2 miles. Version 4.0 removed this restriction, so it's now user configurable.
Hi Dear All
I wondering you are designing WI-MESH for WLAN ?
