Cisco 4402 Lan controller not recognizing GLC-T gbic
I recently purchased a used cisco 4402 that I want to use for lab work.
The problem is that I cannot get the GBIC port to work. I first believed it was the gbic knowing they go bad so I went out and purchased a brand new GLC-T gbic for a copper connection over to my 3560 switch. I know the switchport works and have testing it in both trunk and access mode but no matter what I try to do the connection isn't coming up.
I have a cross over cable between the WLC and the switch. I have the switch in trunk mode.
I went through the basic configuration settting up the controller without lag.
When I do a show inventory I do not see the gbic present.
How can I troubleshoot the port itself to figure out if the port is bad?
