Cisco 5508 WLC and Apple Products

We have a Cisco 5508 WLC and Cisco Access Points.

I trying to create a new WLAN SSID that will allow Apple Ipads and Iphones access to the Inernet.

The Cisco 5508 is running Software Version                 7.4.100.0

The WLAN settings are the following:

I am able to connect a Android phone with a username and password once I change from PEAP to LEAP on the phone.

Apple IOS 7 does not give me that option.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Means you are using Local EAP ?

If yes then check this blog and match your wlc config.

Why would you change from PEAP to LEAP? Maybe your WLAN encryption is wrong. The layer 2 should be WPA + WPA2 and the layer 4 should be 802.1x. The Apple devices don't support LEAP.

I was the intial person to setup the 5508.

How to I change from PEAP to LEAP on the controller?

How do I check layer 4? I only see up to layer 3.

I am just trying to setup this network to allow the most BYOD to work.

Either use WPA2/AES or WPA/Tkip.

Remove one of then and try again.

As per my knowledge you can only change the protocol(which you want to use) from ACS or ISE means radius server.

There is no option on wlc excpt Local EAP configuration.

Here is a screen shot of how 802.1x is setup on the WLC. PEAP and LEAP is the same setup. Your radius is the issue. What radius are you using? Apple devices only can do PEAP.

Re: Cisco 5508 WLC and Apple Products

We are not using radius.

Required to use minimun resources to get this working.

We are using local Net accounts on the WLC.

So fustrating.

So should I try and find a small server to run Radius to the WLC then?

Is this the eaisest path?

Re: Cisco 5508 WLC and Apple Products

Thank you all for your input.

The web link from sandeepchoudhary21 was excatly what I needed to do.

The only difference was I did not select EAP-Fast or EAP-TLS; just PEAP and I was able to join my apple products to my newtork.
