Cisco 800 - unable to assign BVI interface as a management ip
I am currently working on Cisco 881W wireless router but unable to manage the internal access point thru BVI interface, has anyone here encounter the same issue?
My objective is to us BVI interface to manage the internal AP using one of the ip address of the users subnet which also being use for wireless network, so basically the managment IP, users IP and employess wireless belongs to the same vlan.
Re: Cisco 800 - unable to assign BVI interface as a management i
Where is the DHCP pool?? is the BVI getting the IP address?? whats the management VLAN used??
the simplest of all configurations..
what ever the management vlan that we are using, map it to int wlan-ap 0 by using IP UNNUMBERED VLAN # command under it.. get into the AP module.. assign the ip to BVI in the same subnet of the management vlan.. configure the SSID and the encryption.. this wil do it for you!!
