I have a AP1220A I'm looking to configure it so that it blindly connects to any unsecure network.
And then I will be able to use the CAT5 to provide my router with internet connectivity.
Is this possible?

"I have a AP1220A I'm looking to configure it so that it blindly connects to any unsecure network."
does this mean... you want ur clients to get conected to the Wireless signal blindly?? or the AP to get connected to any signal blindly??
Client can connect but not the AP.. Clients connect to AP and then go out to internet.. If you want your AP to get connected, then you need to have another AP and this is called repeater mode (Extending the wireless signal).
So if you need your Clients to get connected to the AP wirelessly.. then it is possible and easy config as well..
Go into the AP (TELNET ) access.. and type the below command..
en
password:
config t
int dot11 1 or int dot11 0
ssid
no shut
exit
dot11 ssid
end
wr
the above will do it... then configure your router to go out to the internet.
We are done!!
lemme know how this works out for you!!

Unfortunatley I was looking to have the access point connect blindly.
To provide my ASA with internet. Have just ended up using a XP laptop with Internet sharing.
Thank you for your help though.
