I have just purchased a second hand Cisco Aironet wireless accesspoint AIR-AP1232AG-N-K9 which was already configured. Global Configuration mode can't be accessed. For example there is a hostname configured but when I try changing the hostname but doesn't work (check the screenshot attached)
Also when I connect into my router it also get an ip address from the dhcp but I cannot connect from the GUI (via a browser) for the cisco interface.
I tried resetting to factory defaults, it just resetted but the hostname never changed.
The AP might be lightweight. See if it take this command: test capwap or test . Also you can issue a show version and if the boot image has k9w8 it's lightweight and if it's k9w7 it's IOS. I the ap is lightweight, you will need to convert it to autonomous.
