Client access on 2.4GHZ when 1242AG is configured as RAP

I am implementing an indoor wireless mesh network using 1242AG AP.  I know that client access is not advisable in the backhaul (5GHz)

Is it advisable to enable the b/g radio (2.4GHz) for client access when a 1242AG is configured as RAP?

There is no reason to not enable or use the b/g radio on any RAP whether it is a 1242 or a 1522 series AP.
