Hello,

I have some concern regarding the compatibiliy of AP with the WLC.

we are using AIR-CT2504(7.0.116.0) series WLC with AP AIR-LAP1242AG(7.0.116.0) but now i checked on cisco website they are End-of-Sale/End-of-Life for the Power Supply for Cisco Aironet 1130, 1140, 1240 and 1300 Series Access Point.

Now My question is:

1: Which is the latest AP series we shoulöd use for WLC 2500 series?

Regards

Sandeep

The only WAP that's currently end-of-sale is the 1250.  1130, 1240 are still in.  1000, 1100 and 1200, 1230 are End-of-Sale (of course).

What WAPs are supported is based entirely upon the firmware you've loaded.  So I recommend you read the Release Notes to know which ones are still supported.

Thanks man.......

Thanks for the ratings.  Check the link below:

Yes I have checked this page.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps10315/prod_release_notes_list.html

May be we will upgrade 7.1.91.0 fro wlc 2500 series and 7.0.230 for wlc 2500 series because there are some vulnerabilities (e.g. DOS and Unautorized........access).

But my concern was regarding access points End of life, end of sale of 1240 series.

BUt we will keep as it is.

Thanks.
