Configure 892W router and AIR LAP 1142 AP

hello

i have bought cisco 892W router, i want to configure As Access point and connect two more 1142 Access points with this router.

i configure router and ap. but its not working. i am not getting ssid

please assist

current configuration of router  AP  as attachment.

I didn't see an attachment. By the way, if your AP is a LAP1142, thy requires a WLC. You would need to convert that I autonomous.

i forgot to attach file.

i am not able to configure 892W router AP.

first prob i have once i enter AP console from router console using service-module wlan-ap 0 session

i am not able to come out from AP console to Router console back.

i have configure AP with following configuration but SSID is not being broadcast.

i am sure i am doing some mistake.

If you want to broadcast the SSID you need to enter guest-mode under the dot11 SSID.

i have tried to do with TFTP.

Start time Client Address File Mode Size Transferred Blocksize Timeout Status Description
11/22/2011 5:06:13 PM 10.0.0.1:1024 c1140-k9w7-tar.default octet 4791401 0 512 5 Client error. Failed to download file from server. Client returned: Timeout occured.

i got this error.

i have enable password login to console and access AP from Telnet but cant access via web.

please help.

Make sure you have your firewall turned off on your laptop/pc. I use 3cdeamon tftp as my tftp client.

Hi Scott

i managed to get Gui of AP. configured AP from GUI.

i am facing one problem when  configuring WEP key it is  accepting only hex Number.

is there any way i can broadcast Router (892w) SSID and authentication from AP.
