Configure Cisco SAP702I access point to work with 2500 series Wireless Controller

Hi,

I need help configuring a Cisco SAP702I access point to work with 2500 series Wireless Controller. At the minute the controller will not even detect the AP although they are on the same subnet. I have read in cisco documentation that the access point should do an IP broadcast to detect any controllers

Hi,

I have not deployed the new 700 series Cisco AP's, but it is my understanding that the SAP702i is the standalone version made for autonomous deployments. CAP702i is made for controller based deployments. You'll need to get either the CAP702i AP's, or flash the AP's to make them lightweight. You will also need to make sure you have 7.5 code running on your 2500 WLC.
