Converting AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 to lightweight mode

Hi Everyone,

I have an issue with Cisco AP AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 after converted to Lightweight mode. I am using WLC 2106 with version code of 7.0.98.0 but after successfull conversion from autonomous mode to lightweight mode the, the AP is not getting associated to WLC. It shows up for a one or two seconds under WLC and then again disappers. This AP has raido AIR-MP31G which i think is supported for converting it to lightweight mode.

Please see below the log of the upgrade utility after convertign to lightweight mode.

Re: Converting AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 to lightweight mode

Well with older APs you might need to enter the SSC before it will join the WLC. Take a look at this link to obtain the SSC and add it to the WLC. The link
Also goes over other reasons that an ap fails to join.

Converting AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 to lightweight mode

This doesn't really tell us much....  You need to post the output from the console of the AP.  POst the output when you power cycle the AP.  That will show you also if the SSC is there or not.  Did you go through the troubleshooting link?

Thanks,

Scott
