crash information on wlc2112

Robert,

The crash log to me doesn't really tell me much.  So when the 2100WLC crashed, did the WLC come back up and the AP's all joined?  If so, did you verify that the configurations are still okay?  Can you explain more what you are seeing and what you have done to troubleshoot?

Thanks, Scott *****Help out other by using the rating system and marking answered questions as "Answered"*****

crash information on wlc2112

Hi Scott,

When the WLC crashed, all AP's joined and WLC come back up too.

The configuration didn't change.

I tried to upgrade at the latest version the firmware and that doesn't resolved it.

All the laptop work in light version.

I change the SSID name, WPA2, WPA, AES TKIP because i had a lot of eapol log failed.

Scuse for my english, I'm French. ;p

Thanks

No problem... when yo see a lot of eapol logs, it can be due to the encryption method.  Did you enable both WPA + WPA2 and TKIP + AES?  Many clients when you configure them for wpa2 personal, that uses WPA2/AES.  Just like when you set them up for wpa personal, it only uses WPA/TKIP.  If you only have one defined, then thats good, if you have them all enabled, I can see where you can have problems.  Now if you have an open authentication, for testing purpose, do the users have any issues?  That is one way to sort of eliminate issues with the WLC per say.

I'll go tomorrow morning and i'll try open authentication.

I tried before just one by one in WPA TKIP and after WPA2 AES.

and nothing.

We upgrade the laptop too (wireless card) and nothing better....

The more info the better... if you can create a test ssid with wpa2/aes and then run a show wlan for that ssid, we can go from there.
