DHCP on Aironet 1142N

Hi all,

I'm a novice at this so I do apologize...

Is it possible to have DHCP enabled on the Aironet 1142n that leases IP Addresses in a different subnet to what the Aironet has? I've basically got an Aironet 1142n with a static IP address (i.e. 10.0.0.1) and I would like all clients that connect to it to receive an IP in a different range (i.e. 192.168.1.xxx) and would also like the Aironet 1142n to act as the DHCP server. Is this possible?

Thanks!

Regards,

-Alf

You can, but only for wireless clients the AP will not provide dhcp to wired devices

Here is a link that explains the dhcp service.
