difference between child and neighbor? MAPs do not show on AP list

I have a wireless network at a nonprofit wildcat sanctuary with a 4400 WLC and 3 MAPs (1510s). One of these 1510s is configured as a RAP and functioning. The other 2 MAPs are less than 1000 feet from the RAP (RAP to MAP 1= 360 ft, RAP to MAP 2= 920 feet, MAP 1 to MAP 2=580 feet)

In the WLC GUI list of APs, I can see the RAP, but not the MAPs. If I look at the neighbors of the RAP, MAP 1 is listed as a neighbor, and MAP 2 is listed as a child- so there seems to be some connectivity.

What needs to be done for the MAPs to function as APs?

Thanks, Amanda

Is th eMAP configured for Ethernet Bridging. If so, uncheck that box and you should be able to have client access.
