Different Signals of Different SSIDs in a Single AP

Hi,

I would like to inquire with regard to wireless signal of different SSIDs in a single AP. I have noticed, using our Fluke AirCheck device as well as our company laptop that SSIDs (Corp and Guest) being broadcasted by the AP being tested omits different signals.

Based on my understanding, if the AP broadcasts any SSID, it should be (in case a little discrepancy) almost the same. On our case, it is different. Guest SSID was observed to have a strong signal while Corp SSID has a weak signal and sometimes none. We are checking it on the same particular AP although we have a large scale AP deployment in our office.

Is this normal? Or do I need to change something?

FYI, we have a 5508 Controller running on version 7.6.100.0 with 1602 APs.

TIA,

Joghson

Hi Leo,

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately, we are just monitoring the same AP.

We will try the upgrade.
