Hi Guys,

i've got a Problem.

im Working in an Hospital. A few weeks ago we installed an Wireles Infrastructure ( WLC5508 & LAP1142N ). Everything works fine.

Now to the Problem: We installed Accesspoints ( LAP1142N ) in some ratient rooms.

The AP's have an LED on the front. This LED disrupt our Patients so they can't sleep.

Now my Question: is it possible to turn off the LED on an LAP1142N.

All i found on the LAP1142N-E-K9 is the option to flash the LED for a time .

led flash {1-3600 / disable}

On an AP1130AG in our Office i can turn off the LED with this command .

led display off

Does anyone have an Idea how to turn off this LED?

Thank you very much.

Björn

Since it is a LAP, you can do the config ap led-state disable from the wlc cli.

If you want to disable only certain AP's, you will need to console into the ap or telent/ssh and run a debug capwap console cli and hit enter.  Then you can do a config t hit enter and enter led display off and hit enter.

Hi Scott,

Thank you very much. I disabled it on the wlc.

I hope our Patien can sleep tonight.

Björn

Just make sure you enable it on all your wlc's:)
