Dot11radio interface down

Hi Experts,

I have a Cisco AIR-AP1252AG-A-K9 access point in autonomous mode on which one of the dot11radio interfaces went down recently. All other interfaces are up. The dot11radio1 interface was in down/down state. I shut / no shut it & its now in up/down state:

Can anyone please help me check why its down?

access-point1#sh ip int brief

Interface                  IP-Address         OK? Method Status                Protocol

BVI1                                  x.y.z.a        YES NVRAM  up                    up

Dot11Radio0                unassigned      YES NVRAM  up                    up

Dot11Radio1                unassigned      YES NVRAM  up                    down

GigabitEthernet0           unassigned      YES NVRAM  up                    up

I checked the inline power on the switch to which it connects:

access-point1#sh power inline GigabitEthernet 0/33

Interface Admin  Oper       Power   Device              Class Max

--------- ------ ---------- ------- ------------------- ----- ----

Currently there are no associations on the AP:

Re: Dot11radio interface down

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there any command output that shows there is a problem?

My company database says this AP is in service since 2 and half years & it has been up running since 1 year 12 weeks...

The serial number you've posted tells me the EXACT AGE of your AP.

So my "method" is far more accurate than your company's asset database.

OMG!!

You are awesome Leo!

So I need to replace this: AIR-RM1252A-C-K9 - the antenna that is down or the entire AP?

Thanks a lot!

I hope your 1250 has maintenance contract.  Because if you RMA your AP you might get UPGRADED to a 1262.
