archive download-sw /force-reload /overwrite tftp://10.81.XX.XX/c1200-k9w7-tar.123-8.JA1.tar

this is the full command used.

it just cant proceed.

Hello,

You got the cli command correct.

I would suggest using another TFTP server software and see if you have the same issue.

tftp32d is a good free one.

This and make sure the tftp server can see the tar file in the directort you are pointng it to. Like the show direcroty button in tftp32d:

http://tftpd32.jounin.net/

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Aaron

i tried using solarwinds tftp and this tftp32.

but i m still getting the same error.

what could be wrong ?

i have already disable my client firewall on my laptop.

i m trying to upgrade my old AP1210 to the latest IOS version.

current version is c1200-k9w7.122.11.JA1.

The error you describe usually happens when :

The directory path is wrong ... make sure the directory you configure in your TFTP server is where teh file is located ... it will be the root directory to the clients trying to access it (like in your command)

or

There is a typo in the filename.

Most TFTP systems (and Cisco) are case sensitive .. you have to type the filename EXACTLY as it appears in the directory: Upper case letters have to be uppercase, lower case letters have to be lower case.

Good Luck

Scott

problem solved after i installed the tftp server on a win2k server machine.

it just could not run on my laptop.
