External Radius server

We are considering moving from WEP to WPA with our 1100 wireless ap's. We currently utilize a radius server in a Netware environment. Can authentication to the wireless network utilize an external radius server with WPA?

Thanks

Re: External Radius server

Hello,

you can use external RADIUS servers for authentication. For a configuration guideline and explanations have a look at "WPA Configuration Overview" found at

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/wireless/ps4570/products_configuration_example09186a00801c40b6.shtml

Basically, if the RADIUS authentication works with WEP it should work the same way with WPA.

Hope this helps! Please rate all posts.

Regards, Martin
